Church-Planter Solicits Prayer and Partnership

A non-denominational pastor has appealed for prayer and collaboration in his church-planting ministry in Sultan Kudarat province. Jonathan Tirado said he ministers to the “Cawlo” ethnic group, which is probably either one or both of the Tagakaulu Kalagan and the Tagakaolo Kalagan peoples as identified by the Joshua Project, a mission research initiative. Centrala Church pastor Edwin Dangallo is his friend and cousin who has been especially encouraging and supportive of Tirado’s ministry. After learning of Allied Mission Church, he began corresponding through its Facebook page, renewing contact in January after an initial message in 2017. Formerly aligned with the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of the Philippines (CAMACOP), Tirado started the independent ministry last year after moving from Luzon to Mindanao when he said no pastorates were available to him. He located in Bagumbayan municipality where he pastors a church in barangay Kinayao, and an outreach in barangay Poblacion. Dangallo recently participated in a ground-breaking ceremony for the prospective church building in Poblacion.
